SAG-AFTRA Strike Comes to an End

Yesterdsy, the negotiation committee of SAG-AFTRA unanimously approved a tentative deal that will bring the union’s 118-day strike — the longest actors strike in history — to an end. The strike officially ended today at 12:01am PT.

The deal will result in a minimum pay increase of 7% for most members. In a statement posted on Twitter, the union explained that the agreement includes “unprecedented provisions for consent and compensation that will protect members from the threat of AI.”

Food details of the tentative deal will become public once it has been reviewed and approved by the SAG-AFTRA National Board.
